About RiverNest Healing
River = A representation of nature. Water gives us life, energy, and cleanses us both spiritually and physically, and asks for nothing of us but respect.
Nest = Derived from my spirit name, Yellow Eagles Nest Woman. It means the one who watches and protects her community. A nest also signifies safety; when a bird builds a nest, the sole purpose is to provide a safe space for their kin.
Healing = Because I offer more than one service to assist in the mental health journey. No matter what service you choose, the root of what I do will always be that: healing.
RiverNest Healing was created from love for community, people, and passion to be of service to others in their journey.
It is a safe space to receive support, compassion, and understanding throughout our time together.
Behind the name

My name is Daniela Linklater, RSW, BISW
(she/her)I am Woodland Cree from Pelican Narrows, SK, and a proud member of Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation.I am the eldest daughter, a granddaughter, cousin, and most proudly a big sister.I was raised in my community of Pelican Narrows, and moved around northern Saskatchewan in childhood to communities such as La Ronge, Beauval and Cumberland House.In 2020, I moved from my reserve to Prince Albert, SK, to pursue post secondary education.I hold a Bachelors Degree of Indigenous Social Work from the First Nations University of Canada, and I am a registered social worker in Saskatchewan and British Columbia.I currently reside on the traditional unceded territory of the Ktunaxa and Secwépemc peoples, which is also home to the Métis Nation Columbia River Society. I am grateful to be a guest on this land and committed to being here in a good way.
My approach
In my years of working with people, I've come to learn that healing happens through connection.
In a world where the western worldview teaches us to isolate, I believe that we must do the opposite.
My approach when working with individuals has always been person-centered, trauma informed, and culturally sensitive.
I use holistic approaches and consider whole-body connection.
